Follow the historic path of Dr. David Livingstone, who first set eyes on Mosi-oa-Tunya (The Smoke That Thunders) from what is now known as Livingstone Island in 1855. This exclusive tour takes you by speed boat across the Zambezi River to the very island where Livingstone stood before naming the falls “Victoria Falls.”

Begin your journey with a hotel pick-up in Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe side) and cross the border into Zambia. After clearing immigration, you’ll be transferred to the Royal Livingstone Jetty, where a twin-engine speed boat whisks you through the Zambezi’s channel to Livingstone Island.

Once on the island, your guide will walk you to the edge of Victoria Falls for breathtaking views into the Batoka Gorge. When water levels permit (typically late August to early January), guests can take part in the ultimate adventure: a swim in Devil’s Pool, a natural rock pool perched on the very edge of the waterfall. Safely supervised by experienced guides, it’s one of the world’s most thrilling natural experiences.

Depending on your time slot, enjoy snacks, breakfast, or a full buffet lunch picnic-style on the island. The tour also includes a guided view of the Falls from the Zambian side.

Note: Devil’s Pool is seasonal and only available when water levels are low (typically late August to early January). Children under 8 are not encouraged to join the tour. Visa requirements for Zambia will be advised when booking.
